Maybe, Maybe

Neither a fairytale nor a legend
In beauty and in the end
In challenges or bliss
This will not just dismiss

Hearts of swords
Stretches of the cords
Yes, the sighs' music
Oh, and the tracks' lyric

Oh, the glory of hemming
Again, lives clinging
Standing on edges
Still, getting back on the ridges

Please pursue
'Begged twice not to undo
For a short while, let's walk
If we can't talk

It's hard to enjoy, really
Never really illy
But somehow just 'hard'
And just... off the yard

No 'I don't know'
Neither 'I won't go'
Nor 'I don't care'
Even 'I won't dare'

It'll be tough
It will be rough
It has not been easy
It was not lazy

But on bended knees
We will sail through the seas
Until the adventure of the deep's gleaming
dance with the comfort of the shore's leaving

Bricks or mere picket fences
In the grays of summer mazes
Or in winter solstice's wind
Wonders are learned in bind

Pa

In many ways, I love you
Thank you for everything
You are one of the wonderful things the Lord blessed me with

You have gone around the world
And you even have gone to most places I dreamt of going
You make them come true for me

From Antarctica, Egypt, Rome, Greece, Norway
and the rest of those wonderful places you had your coffee
I am but one proud "bunso"

For those stories and books you bought me from those places--
Some of which I have not even started reading yet
From those stories you always passionately share with me
I am but one grateful Abi

It is true that we cannot get to choose who gets to be our father
And I am just blessed that the Lord himself chose you to be my dad

Happy Father's Day!

with love,

Abi

College Goodbye I

"Sometimes, we meet people and we are forever changed."

Sometimes, we meet people... and we create a kind of friendship unlike any other.

We create that certain relationship in a class, more like a family with the walls of an institution, say, the Lyceum of the Philippines University.

It was not an easy path.
But it was one of those worth-while journeys.

There were also breakfasts, lunch outs, dinners, recesses, those 10-to-15-minute breaks, and everything in between. There were bumps, humps, and stops.

From a unique crowd, friendships were made. From group projects, researches, reports or just mere activities, we got used to the people around us that we came to know them more in various ways.

In those misunderstandings, quarrels, mishaps and shortcomings, some friendships were made and were even strengthened.

Some friendships may have been put to a pause. Some circumstances cannot just be put to its best always. Hopefully, there are pauses. And if there need to be some stops, be it for the better, even the best.

From the non-academic activities as simple as bonding with these people completed a college life. And now that this chapter comes to an end, may it not be the end of that unique bond of this crowd.

I never knew I would be this close to these people. I will surely miss those night walks along Parian after our 7:00PM class. Those extended stay in the school or overnights and early meetings due to deadlines. Going back to how we all started, it is inevitable to say that we have gone miles away from where we were.

**I decided to post this first write up (which I made weeks ago. haha) already because.. because I am missing college that much. Huhuhu.  FORGIVE ME FOR THE DRAMA. :))
